How do you feel about tattoos on the nape of the neck?
Looks sexy on some people...
Reply:Oh I think that sounds so cute...Hmm, I might steal that idea, but with another flower maybe...lol.
Reply:Doctors now say that tattoos at the base of the spine can cause medical problems later in life and I'm guessing we may some day learn the same is true for tattoos on the base of the neck. The nape might be okay, but the best, safest place is probably your upper arm or your bottom.
Reply:I have 2 tattoos already...and I'm one for getting small elegant ones.

i think that some women look super cute with ones on the nape of their necks.Others...just choose the wrong tat and stamp it there..then it looks bad.

So, in my opinion, i think that it is something to consider long and hard before getting...you know, to make sure you get the right one.

I haven't found one quite perfect yet...so i haven't done the nape of my neck, but i someday plan too.

Good luck on yours...the nape of the neck is a nice idea.
Reply:They are ok, depending on the look of the person. Some are cool when they are tastefully done.
Reply:I love tattoos, however I do not feel the neck is the place to get it. Imagine urself in 20-40 yrs from now with that tattoo. I am not saying dont get it, but I can imagine granny showing up to bingo night with a tattoo on her neck!
Reply:Honestly...it's overdone, just like the lower back. I do love tats but it just seems like everyone has them in the same places. I've always wanted one...but I think if I was going to mark myself for life it would have some major significance or meaning...and it might only be viewable by the one person who would get it. Now that is scorching hot.
Reply:In certain areas of the country you would have problems getting work.

My (19) yr. old house cleaner had to remove the diamond from her tongue before she could find a job. She still has two more, but out of site.
Reply:I think tattoo's that are higher than your waist are too visible. I definitly would not get one on your NECK.
Reply:thats awesome! good idea that it will be able to cover up with a tshirt
Reply:In some cultures the nape of the neck is considered very sensual. So if you want to accent that part of your body with art I say go for it.

Please be sure to go to a parlor that is clean and doesn't reuse ink.
Reply:Its all about stupidity and ugliness, hope you have a nice hiv infection in the process.
Reply:I think they look awesome except for the gang ones we see around here....ugh

Go for it! Sounds like a plan =)
Reply:I have one!

It's a saying in Thai language, which is where I live. But tattoos on women are very common here.

I'm happy with it, but there are times it's appropriate to cover it up, and wearing your hair down all the time can be a pain.

I don't regret it, but you need to think about how often you might need to hide it and weigh your decision that way. Luckily for me I have a pretty relaxed profession.

It's my first and only tat, and didn't hurt that much.
Reply:whats a nape

if you mean behind the ear area around theres cool
Reply:That might be the biggest mistake of your life. Tattoos are cool, but there are certain times you might want to conceal it, and you won't be able to if on your neck
Reply:As long as it's NOT the name of the city you live in, it's ok.
Reply:that would be neat i want one on my neck too i just dont know what
