Forget Me Not?

Forgeting is such a tragic loss. And if someone where to forget someone else completely, it would be as though they never existed.


Can you really forget love?

Forget Me Not?
People are forgetting. t might be tragic, but it is true. You can only hope that the purpose of your existence is something beyond being remembered.

I love this poem! It is the best one to describe lost love of any kind! But Wordsworth wrote it after his young daughter died!
Reply:you can forget love because of time, circumstances, and the personality of the person, and also depending on how much you loved the other person...
Reply:You don't have to forget someone that you loved. I guess you can learn from the experiences both the bad and the good, and take that with you in your life. And try to do better in your next relationship. You live, you learn. What else can you do? But no, you don't have to forget. ;-)

Reply:I don't think you can forget love. You carry the things that that person taught you with you forever, whether you realize it or not.





It also doesn't have to be "romantic" love, either. Parents, friends, relatives, all have traits that we carry with us when they leave us, whether it's death or by another circumstance.
Reply:Yea as if they were regarded as a myth or something. I can forgive but I wont forget!
Reply:No not if what you felt for that person or being was true love. True love never dies, Puppy love goes away a week after you break and hook up with the dude down the street.

Reply:I have found that the five women I have had a meanful relationship with in my life all seem to have had no problems in forgetting "love".


Not sure if it is a man/woman thing but even in songs it's always men that sing "baby please come home"...


so... yeah it seems to me that women have no problems whatsoever while men seem to get attached more.


Personally I just cannot leave anyone, cannot think of just going for a couple of years ride like women seem to do. I am still thinking about my last woman while she's had two guys after me, I couldn't do that myself. I am now staying single, it's actually quite good, I achieve much more.

Reply:actually if we could forget easier we would have no past that tells us we can not do something because we failed previously,we would not look backwards into memory and live for what we have done instead of living in the moment doing what we want to do...........the past is the only thing that holds humanity back from an eternity of grace
